GVL works across all the faculties at the University of Jyväskylä, offering students from every disciplinary background access to its exploratory study programs. The minoring options equip motivated students with business creation competencies. The students work with real world growth ventures as co-entrepreneurs – alongside entrepreneurs, committed mentors and faculty – learning the tricks of the trade, while building a global mindset. GVL wants to create new kinds of young professionals who see the world from a slightly different perspective. Therefore, GVL has offered two minor subjects, Technology Business and Service Business, for students who have a background in something other than economics. These study programmes have managed to change the mindset of many, and after attending the studies, some students even say that they want to change the world. Service Business (Palveluliiketoiminta - PLT)

Service Business is an interdisciplinary minor study program at JYU for students interested in understanding how business relates to their chosen field, developed by the Faculty of Business and Economics. It is coordinated by Global Venture Lab.

Launched in autumn 2008, the study program offers short and intensive business know-how courses designed for students in the faculties of Humanities, Social Sciences, Education and Sport and Health Sciences.

It is possible to complete the study program in one year (35 ECTS), which means that obligatory courses are held yearly. Majority of courses are in Finnish.

Technology Business (Teknologialiiketoiminta - TLT)

Technology Business is an interdisciplinary minor study program at the University of Jyväskylä for students interested in understanding how business relates to their chosen field, developed by the Faculty of Business and Economics. It is coordinated by Global Venture Lab.

The study program offers short and intensive business know-how courses designed for students in the Faculties of Information Technology, Mathematics and Sciences. The program began in 2006 emphasizing business competence for technological-natural science students at the University of Jyväskylä. 

It is possible to complete the study program in one year (35 ECTS), which means that obligatory courses are held yearly. Marjority of courses are in Finnish.
