GVL is university-based but fully wired to business, as a business. We run general management for SKY, the world’s first “knowledge investor association” and have a growing number of global solution providers as partners. Our networks offer our entrepreneurs and students relevant access throughout the world.

Development Project: Runway to Growth

Runway to Growth is a TEKES project (2008-2010) funded through EAKR (European Regional Development Fund).

In the heart of “Runway to Growth” project (aka R2G) is creating an entrepreneurial Growth Venturing Platform for the mobilization of business competence – across the sectors of Business, University, and Government – as knowledge capital investments, in the sphere of Technology Based Business study program in School of business and economics at University of Jyväskylä.

The activities of project are a) creating the clinical portfolio of 20 growth ventures, which could be labelled as the core mission of R2G, on which all the other activities lean upon. However, activity 1 also leans on two other activities, namely activity b) developing the angel investor group specific business models and c) generic conceptual framework for university based business creation activity.
